# Quant and systematic

> Structured, point-in-time workflows that keep periods, revisions and definitions explicit.

Systematic research needs values you could have known at the time, with the definition and source behind each one. These workflows return structured tables and CSVs that keep periods, revisions and units explicit, ready to join to your own data.

  <a className="vx-wf" href="/use-cases/finance/macro-release-brief"><span className="vx-label">Point in time</span><strong>Macro release evidence brief</strong><span className="vx-wf-desc">Keep release-time values and prior-month revisions apart from later revised series.</span><span className="vx-wf-ex">US employment release, January 2025</span></a>
</div>

## Run a workflow

Each workflow page has a runnable request and notes on checking the output. Use [Search](/search/quickstart) when your application owns retrieval and analysis, or [DeepResearch](/guides/deepresearch-quickstart) for a cited report and files. Check [data sources](/data-sources) for the evidence your task needs.
